About
I am a writer and photographer whose artwork explores the spaces where humanity, place, and belonging intersect. Through documentary storytelling, portraiture, and reflective writing, I am drawn to the ways people and communities create meaning, care for one another, and imagine alternative ways of living in the world.
Raised in Clearwater, Florida, I grew up between the beaches and pine forests of the Gulf Coast, developing an early affinity for both art and nature. As a quiet and observant child, creativity became a way of understanding my surroundings and making sense of the emotional undercurrents within them. I later studied art at the University of Florida, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a Minor in Education in 2006.
After many years navigating personal struggles and addiction, I now live my life in recovery—an experience that has profoundly reshaped my understanding of resilience, connection, and purpose. What began as a personal healing journey gradually evolved into a deeper exploration of how people live, what sustains them, and what allows them to feel at home.
This path eventually led me back to school to pursue a Master of Science in Sustainable Management through the University of Wisconsin. My graduate research focused on intentional communities, ecovillages, and regenerative models of living across Scotland, Denmark, Italy, Kenya, and Bali. Through writing and photography, I documented not only the structures and systems within these communities, but also the emotional and human realities that exist inside them.
My practice moves between the personal and the observational, exploring themes of transformation, interdependence, recovery, spirituality, and humanity’s place within the natural world. At the heart of my practice is a belief that curiosity can be a form of service—an invitation to look more closely, live more intentionally, and remember our relationship to one another and the Earth itself.
My work continues to evolve through writing, photography, and pilgrimage, including walking the Camino de Santiago in summer 2026.
