The Project
This capstone project explores belonging, community, and the search for home.
Over four months, I traveled across three continents and five countries, spending time in ecovillages, farms, and intentional communities. Through writing, photography, and interviews, I documented ways of living that center connection — to place, to each other, and to something beyond the individual.
What I found is that life in these communities is lived differently, but not without challenge. What stands out is how people come together to navigate those challenges, grow, and continue forward.
Alongside these experiences are my own questions of purpose, place, and what it means to belong — an exploration of both inner and outer landscapes.
This work brings together documentary writing and photography as a reflection of that journey, and is shared here as an invitation to remain curious about the world around us.
